Tea N Torque: Cars, Cake & a Surprisingly Sunny Sunday in Reston

There are worse ways to spend a Sunday morning than standing around in the sunshine talking about cars and eating homemade sausage rolls.

And, thankfully, the Scottish Borders weather actually got the memo!

On Sunday 23rd August, Letitia and Rob from Xclusively Jaguar hosted their third get-together, 'Tea N Torque', at Scott Brown Cars in Reston, bringing together Jaguars, Mustangs and pretty much anything else interesting with wheels.

Starting at 10:30, cars and bikes came and went throughout the morning and into the early afternoon. It was very much a pull up, have a nose around and stay as long as you fancy sort of event - and plenty of people did exactly that! Camping chairs appeared, conversations carried on and nobody seemed in much of a hurry to leave.

The homemade sausage rolls and cakes from the Jim Clark Bistro may have had something to do with that - cars are even more fun to discuss when accompanied by cake.

As with previous years, the local Mustang crowd turned out in force, and amongst them you can also spot Scott's own rather special Mustang Bullitt. He was also proudly showing off his Caterham and his low mileage Astra GSi.

On the classic side of things, Letitia and Rob brought along a wonderfully eclectic little collection of their own: a couple of Jaguar XKs, their TR6, a rare Bitter SC and Maserati 228.

Xclusively Jaguar also arrived with a selection of automobilia to rummage through - and, despite the name, it wasn't all Jaguar stuff!

Naturally, there were plenty more Jaguars in attendance, alongside an ever-changing assortment of interesting cars and bikes dropping in throughout the day. Far too many for us to list, but fortunately, we do have some photos - so rather than attempt to document absolutely everything that appeared in Reston on Sunday, here's a selection from the day.
