The Man and the Model That Saved Jaguar!
E604 JJU (affectionately known as Juno) is a 1988 3.6 XJ40. She was first supplied by Sturgess of Leicester and has been maintained in pristine condition throughout her life.
She was later purchased by Jaguar Heritage, where she formed part of the museum collection for 18 years, before being acquired by Letitia Mace and becoming part of the Xclusively Jaguar Collection.
Shortly before she was sold to me, Martin Puthz, a journalist from Germany, took Juno to meet Sir John Egan at his home – bringing together the man and the model that saved Jaguar.
Sir John Egan, former Chairman of Jaguar Cars and now President of the Jaguar Drivers' Club, attended the JDC National Day held on 25 July 2021 at Walton Hall, Wellesbourne.
Sir John and I spoke briefly at the event, and I am now honoured to announce that he has accepted my invitation to become a patron of Xclusively Jaguar.
In an email following the event, Sir John apologised for the brevity of our encounter, explaining that his very successful book signing had kept him busy throughout the day.
A subsequent email requested further details about Xclusively Jaguar, culminating in his gracious acceptance of my invitation.
